Role Overview
As Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that both our internal operations and external clients remain fully compliant with all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. This position is both strategic and operational - requiring not only a strong understanding of compliance frameworks, but also a proactive, client-facing approach.
In addition, you will play a key role in identifying and securing new compliance consultancy opportunities - contributing to the business development and growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Consultancy
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and systems
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues
- Advise clients on regulatory obligations and best practices
- Oversee ISO implementation and renewals (9001, 14001, 27001, and 45001)
- Deliver training sessions and develop supporting documentation for internal staff and clients
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates across the business
- Draft comprehensive compliance reports for internal and client use
- Liaise with regulatory bodies as required.
- Conduct regular client visits to assess compliance levels and provide tailored consultancy
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through trust, responsiveness, and service excellence
- Handle client matters with sensitivity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the compliance space
- Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to potential clients
- Attend networking events and industry conferences to promote services
- Collaborate with the management team on growth strategy and market positioning.
Requirements
- Proven experience in compliance management or consultancy
- Excellent knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks and standards
- ISO lead auditor qualifications (9001, 14001, 27001, and 45001)
- Experience with ISO frameworks and quality assurance systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—confident in a client-facing role
- Commercial acumen and enthusiasm for business development
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
