PRECISION MOULDS AND TOOLS SERVICES LIMITED have been producing multi-impression precision injection mould tools for the medical industry for over 35 years, and are looking for experienced Toolmakers, Improvers, Surface/Cylindrical Grinders, and CNC Millers to join our established team to support continued business growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled engineers to join a forward-thinking company who are going through an exciting period of growth. The successful candidates will be involved in manufacturing high precision injection mould tools in a clean and well equipped toolroom, with Micron CNC High Speed machining centres, Charmille CNC Wire eroders, Sodick CNC Spark eroders, Jones & Shipman surface grinders, in house design using UniGraphics, and CAM programming using Visi.
The successful candidates will join a highly skilled technical team of toolmakers and will have extensive opportunities for training and further personal development.
Role Responsibilities:- Use of manual milling machines
- Use of lathes
- Use of surface and cylindrical grinders
- Use of CNC spark eroders (training given)
- Use of CNC wire eroders (training given)
- Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools
- Modification & repair of Injection Mould Tools
- Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding and fitting
- Assist the Production Team in trouble shooting tooling and moulding faults
- Ensure that the Company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to throughout
- 20 days annual leave, plus 8 statutory holidays
- Up to £45,000 per annum, based on experience
- 1 week Christmas shutdown, in addition to annual leave
- Flexible working hours between 6.30am and 6.30pm
- Additional Overtime hours available

- Experience in manufacturing precision engineering components for moulds and tools
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Experience with Grinding, Milling, and Spark Erosion techniques
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and high standards of quality, and completing tasks on time
- Skilled in tool modifications, repairs, and refurbishments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in the use of all toolroom machinery and equipment
- Experience with CAD/CAM programming is a plus
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
