Turley are seeking to recruit a Senior Consultant/Associate Director focused on our net zero offer. The role is part of our growing work providing modelling and quantitative analysis for new development, existing portfolios and organisational net zero.

We are looking for someone experienced in energy and building modelling software with an interest in the broader sustainability agenda. More senior candidates will be expected to have project management and business development skills. Preferred locations are London, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol but can be flexible for the right candidate.

  • Building modelling for new development to demonstrate how they comply with local policy, ambitions to be net zero, and similar.
  • Overheating Analyses.
  • Analysis of existing asset portfolios to understand their needs to make a transition to net zero and other standards.
  • Modelling whole company energy systems and GHG emissions to develop Net Zero Strategies.
  • Whole life carbon studies.
  • Investment Appraisals.

About You

  • Experienced and accredited in using IES VE for policy compliance on energy and GHG emissions, overheating, thermal comfort and bespoke analyses.
  • SAP modelling (Understanding of expected transition to HEM).
  • Developing spreadsheet models and tools.
  • Good understanding of how buildings work, technologies and the regulatory and policy landscape in the UK.
  • Enthusiasm and drive.

Desirable

  • Experience of Techno-economic analysis for financial or environmental return.
  • Experience of corporate sustainability/net zero drivers – such as GRESB, SBT, CRREM, MEES.
  • Experience managing your own projects and client relationships.
  • Authoring clear reports and compelling proposals.
  • Whole life carbon experience.
  • VBA.
  • EPC accreditation – Existing and new build.
  • Understanding of the smart and renewable energy systems.
