Job description Job Advertisement: Nursing Home Manager – Brand New 86-Bed Care Home Location: Whitley Bay Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience Position: Full-Time, Permanent About Us: Mt Client are excited to announce the opening of their brand-new 86-bed care home, offering state-of-the-art facilities and a commitment to providing exceptional care to our residents. As they prepare to open their doors, they are looking for an experienced, passionate, and dynamic Nursing Home Manager to lead this exciting new project. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the culture, quality of care, and success of a brand-new home from the ground up. The Role: As the Nursing Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of this brand-new facility. You will play a key role in ensuring that the home provides the highest standard of care, develops a strong and positive culture, and operates efficiently in line with regulatory requirements. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will be the driving force behind the home’s success, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring a person-centered approach to care. Key Responsibilities: Lead the setup and operational management of the 86-bed care home, ensuring high-quality care and smooth day-to-day operations. Develop and implement person-centered care plans, ensuring residents’ individual needs are met with respect and dignity. Ensure the home meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements, including CQC standards. Lead and motivate a team of skilled professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and collaboration. Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring the team has the skills and support needed to provide outstanding care. Manage the home’s budget and financial performance, ensuring effective use of resources and maintaining profitability. Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders. Ensure the home operates in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner while maintaining a welcoming environment for residents and their families. Requirements: Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager or in a senior management role within a care setting. Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin number (preferred but not essential). Strong knowledge of CQC standards, healthcare regulations, and quality assurance processes. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Passion for providing exceptional care and improving the quality of life for residents.
