This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of our QSSHE team, reporting to our Senior Projects QSHE Engineer, and supporting our operation in the Southern North Sea (SNS). This position is responsible for providing advice and support (including coaching and monitoring) to ensure the necessary quality assurance and control processes are in place and working effectively to prevent financial and HSE risks being introduced to the business through the undertaking of project activities, operational changes and the delivery of third-party services. This is a permanent staff position working Monday to Friday, based in Norwich.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain quality strategies and quality systems suitable to support the Perenco Onshore and Offshore SNSS operations in SNSS.
- Facilitate continuous improvement in health, safety, environmental protection and loss prevention performance.
- Facilitate compliance with all QSSHE regulatory requirements and with good practice.
- Maintain a register of applicable codes and standards that SNSS that the business is required to comply with in the delivery of its day-to-day operations and project activities.
- Provide support to the Projects Group (including those projects/services being delivered by third parties on our behalf) and to other groups (Integrity, Wells and Operations Support) to be sure that quality risks are correctly assessed, identified and managed.
- Development and auditing of Quality Plan, Quality Control Plan and Project Quality Procedures which guarantee compliance with contractual requirements and ISO Standards.
- Liaise with clients about quality matters.
- Assess the suitability of vendors and sub-contractors for individual scopes of work.
- Provide coaching and guidance to the various functional groups in SNS to ensure they are demonstrating the right level of compliance and application with the Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS).
- Review and approve contractors' quality documentation and implement contractor audits as required and in accordance with the Perenco Procurement processes.
- Develop and implement an audit programme to cover 3rd party contractors/service providers.
- Interface with the Contracts Group to ensure contracts have suitable provision for QA/QC.
- Provision of quality input to Invitations to Tender; attendance at Kick-Off / Pre-Inspection Meetings.
- Review of contractor/vendors quality plans and inspection and test plan to ensure adequate hold and witness points have been identified to ensure appropriate levels of control are being applied.
- Support the delivery of the Management Assurance (Audit) Programme including development and execution of audit scopes and training/coaching of internal auditors.
- Ensure that a fit for purpose management system is in place covering quality, safety, security, health and environmental issues.
- Facilitate the implementation of the QSSHE management system.
- Support the maintenance of the Quality Management System utilised within the office.
- Provide leadership to the SNS organisation on quality issues.
- Support SNS QSSHE Team in the delivery of day-to-day activities such as Total Risk Management (TRM) Reviews, HAZIDs, Risk Assessments etc.
Qualifications:
- Degree level (minimum HNC) qualification in Science or Engineering.
- Ideally 10+ years oil and gas QA/QC experience, or minimum 5 years other relevant process industry experience.
- 5+ years’ experience working within the UK oil and gas regulatory framework.
- Able to handle complex problems – both people and engineering – in a wide range of different areas.
- Ability to communicate effectively on QA/QC issues to all levels of the organisation.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
