The company membership provides your organisation with up to date information and guidance to help your business perform more effectively, profitably and deliver more efficient buildings, providing an environment that allows the occupant to thrive. Your role will include delivery of the Strategic Membership Plan to achieve member value, growth and sustainability, supporting the wider strategic objectives of the organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Membership Director in executing the membership strategy to achieve value and revenue targets.
- Manage membership accounts, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.
- Oversee full-cycle account management, including enquiries, issue resolution, and subscription delivery.
- Gather, analyse, and report on competitor and industry intelligence.
- Identify and engage member experts, speakers, authors, and trainers to enhance the company's offerings.
- Build and maintain relationships within member organisations to increase engagement.
- Contribute to developing and delivering a diverse membership events programme, both digital and in-person.
- Generate content for member communications, including newsletters, bulletins, and the website.
- Lead initiatives to raise the company's profile within the industry and among stakeholders.
- Support digital membership development, including CRM, member portal, and automation.
- Attend events and exhibitions to drive membership growth.
- Deliver new member sales and cross-selling to meet budget targets.
- Identify and secure commercial opportunities, including sponsorships.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance products, services, and revenue streams.
- Maintain accurate member records and optimise IT system use.
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 Quality Procedures.
- Any other duties that commensurate with the role.
About you:
- Senior-level experience in a membership organisation.
- Knowledge of the built environment (desirable).
- Strong business development skills, commercial awareness, and consultative sales expertise.
- Proactive and accountable in all aspects of the role.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
