Role: Teaching Assistant Location: SK8 (Stockport area) Pay: £13.69 – £15.87 per hour (dependent on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Full-time, long-term) Start Date: ASAP Reeson Education are recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the SK8 area. This is a full-time, long-term position working closely with a pupil in a lower Key Stage 2 class. The school are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant who can provide stability, consistency, and the right balance of nurture and structure. About the role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in a lower KS2 class. Provide support for a child with ASD and SEMH needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom. Assist the class teacher in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. Use strategies to promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and resilience. Deliver targeted interventions where required. Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil to support their academic and social development.The ideal Teaching Assistant will have: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with SEND/SEMH knowledge. Patience, empathy, and resilience to work with children who require extra support. A calm, consistent approach to behaviour management. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
