What kind of work will you be doing?
- Undertake standard service activities including load bank & building load test proving, major & minor diesel servicing.
- Carry out contract maintenance and inspection on a planned basis to Vertiv standards.
- Fault finding and rectification in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
- Installation of temporary generating plant.
- Commissioning of generator installations.
- Identify opportunities for extra works (SQD) & recommendations.
- Remedial work to contract customers either planned repairs or as part of a call out facility.
- On rota-call out response.
- Completion and submission of relevant reports to service administration within a timely manner following all site activity.
- Comply with all Company Health and Safety Requirements.
- Ensure that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itself.
What will make you successful?
- Previous experiences within the generator stand by power or related industry.
- National Level 3 qualification in either an electrical or mechanical discipline.
- Experience of Electrical and Mechanical fault finding & rectification.
- A good understanding of PLC and microprocessor systems.
- A good understanding of IT.
- Experience in servicing LV switchgear would be advantageous.
- Experience in a field operations role.
- Experience of fault finding & rectification.
- Assertive attitude.
- Self-motivated and results driven.
- Strong communicator.
- Essential Full driving license.
