Are you a resilient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? A specialist school in Sheffield is seeking a strong and compassionate SENTA to join their dedicated team, supporting primary-aged children with a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This is a full-time position, starting immediately and continuing until the end of the academic year in July 2025, with the potential for a return in September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN, particularly those with challenging behaviour, ASD, and ADHD.
- Support class teachers in delivering a tailored and engaging curriculum.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners.
- Use behaviour management strategies effectively and consistently.
- Work closely with the wider SEN team, external professionals, and parents/carers.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have prior experience supporting children with additional needs, especially ASD and ADHD.
