Plumbing Trade Counter Assistant A new builders merchant branch is opening in Tottenham in April 2025, offering a wide range of plumbing and building supplies. An exciting opportunity is available for a Plumbing Trade Counter Assistant to join the team and support the successful operation of the plumbing trade counter. Salary & Benefits: * Annual salary: £31,000–£32,000 (dependent on experience) * Pension scheme * Group life assurance * Staff discount * Discounts on major brands, online retailers, events, and attractions * Cycle to Work scheme * Employee Assistance Programme * Long service awards * 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Additional day off for birthday Key Responsibilities: * Provide expert advice and assistance to customers on plumbing products and materials. * Accurately process orders, handle invoicing, and manage customer payments. * Replenish stock on the shop floor and support regular stock counts. * Assist with the receipt and dispatch of deliveries. * Handle telephone inquiries efficiently, maintaining clear and professional communication. * Respond positively and promptly to customer needs and requests. Role Requirements: * Available to work 48.5 hours per week, with shifts between 6am–5pm Monday to Friday and alternate weekends. * Strong knowledge and understanding of plumbing materials. * Confident, approachable, and able to provide excellent customer service. * Capable of working effectively as part of a busy and supportive team. * Able to prioritise tasks under pressure and work independently when needed
