Here at Liverpool Football Club, we are recruiting for a Senior Sous Travel Chef to join our team. This role requires extensive travel, providing tailored, performance-focused meals. The ideal candidate will have expertise in sports nutrition, meal planning, and high-quality cooking, combined with flexibility, discretion, and a deep understanding of dietary requirements in elite performance settings.
What will you be doing?
- Create personalised, nutritionally balanced meals based on players' needs, dietary restrictions, and performance goals.
- Ensure smooth food provision during travel by working with logistics teams, hotels, and restaurants to source quality ingredients.
- Collaborate with nutritionists, adjusting meals based on requirements.
- Maintain top standards of food safety and cleanliness in all environments, including team facilities and temporary kitchens.
- Prepare meals for various diets (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, etc.) without sacrificing taste or performance.
- Provide high-end culinary experiences, focusing on taste, presentation, and consistency for players.
- Work with coaches, nutritionists, and medical teams to align meal plans with training and competition schedules.
- Stay current on trends in sports nutrition and performance-based meals, applying the latest science to meal planning.
Who are we looking for?
You will possess an NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent, have previous professional chef experience in sports catering, have experience working with nutritionists and understanding athlete dietary requirements, and be willing to travel extensively across the world.
