About The Role
The Hospital Social Work Team is a dynamic and fast-paced team comprising of Social Workers and Social Work Assistants that work with multiple professionals to ensure the safe discharge and follow up care for Hounslow Residents leaving hospital. The team is based within West Middlesex University Hospital and staff work both on site and remotely. We are keen to recruit Social Work Assistants as this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environment. Staff are required to partake in MDT discussions, Mental Capacity assessments, Best Interest meetings, family meetings and safeguarding concerns. All members of the team contribute to the team’s duty rota. Human Rights is at the centre of the team’s work, and we ensure that we are the voice of the resident that we are serving and that we embody our social work values in our day-to-day roles. New recruits will be well-supported by a strong and stable management team. The team operates 365 days per year (9-5pm) and staff are provided with a market supplement to cover weekend and bank holiday working. Staff are also provided with time off in lieu of any weekend and bank holiday working. Staff are based on site at West Middlesex University Hospital and the role is office-based.

You’ll have to demonstrate your ability to work to tight timescales in a fast-paced environment and be able to flexibly manage your day-to-day priorities.
