As the Environmental Manager, you'll ensure that Flogas and our subsidiary companies are operating in accordance with the law and our environmental guidelines and sustainability targets. Your role will involve examining our business activities to determine where improvements can be made, making the changes and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and codes of practice across Flogas.

Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Ability and flexibility to travel across the UK
  • 5 years of applicable work experience in an environmental management role
  • Experience of working in a high hazard, manufacturing or industrial multi-site operation
  • Energy management: Knowledge of renewable energy, energy audits, and energy efficiency measures.
  • Waste management: Expertise in solid and hazardous waste management, including recycling and disposal methods.
  • Pollution control: Knowledge of air, water, and soil pollution sources, impacts, remediation techniques and managing contractors.
