We are currently recruiting for a Demi Chef De Partie to join our award winning restaurant team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh. This is a permanent full time role working with Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels.
As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will work in our diverse kitchen that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner under the guidance of our Executive Chef. Our Banqueting team serves restaurant quality Scottish food for our functions and events to a high standard and volume. You will be required to lead your section in the kitchen under supervision of the CDP, ensuring it is fully prepared for service times.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience within a kitchen environment, including restaurant experience.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Strong desire to improve on your skills and knowledge.
- Knowledgeable of classic food preparations, dishes and cooking.
- Experience in British cuisine.
- Experience in working in a multi outlet kitchen operation.
- Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation.
- Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.
- Assess quality control and adhere to service standards.
- Support the junior members of the team.
- Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline.
- Seek own solutions to minor obstacles that occur from time to time.
- Project a pleasant and positive professional image to all contacts at all times.
- Flexible approach towards hours.
