Our hotel The Balmoral is located at Edinburgh's most prestigious address, No. 1 Princes Street, where the Old Town stops and the New Town begins. Our hotel's majestic clock defines the city's skyline and since the day we opened in 1902 it has run three minutes fast to ensure our guests will never miss their train.
Your key responsibilities include preserving the immaculate appearance of the hotel's decor and carrying out vital repair work to help facilitate the most comfortable, highest quality and safest stay for our guests. Supporting the maintenance team, you will take pride in ensuring paintwork throughout the hotel is perfect, and any mechanical/electrical defects are rectified. While happy working alone, you'll also thrive as part of a team of 4, communicating with colleagues with confidence and sensitivity. Naturally, you will be fully conversant with current health and safety regulations and will demonstrate an adaptable approach to meeting the varied day-to-day demands of the role. In turn, you will be given the support for further training, upskilling and development.
