SLR have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer with demonstrable consultancy experience of S278 in a general infrastructure background to join our collaborative and growing Transport Engineering team.

The role
Your key duties will involve the preparation of detailed design, feasibility studies and scheme reports on a variety of projects. Alongside this, you will also have the opportunity to take responsibility for project management, budgeting, producing bill of quantities, and costings.
- Provide assurance that scheme designs comply with specification and agreed programme
- Work to ensure designs comply with health and safety regulations and CDM requirements
- Alongside colleagues, ensure designs are assessed for environmental impacts
- Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders and third parties
- Coordinate with other team members associated with the design
- Support junior team members working on projects
About you
We are looking for an Engineer with consulting experience around the design and management of the Section 278/38 process, as well as:
- Sound knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets
- Ability to engage and conduct effective negotiations with client, stakeholders, subcontractors and third parties
- Detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Competent in use of Civils 3D
