Our client is an innovative multiproduct menswear brand who are currently hiring for an experienced Menswear Designer to focus on their Formalwear offering. We are looking for a creative and highly organised Formal Menswear Designer to join our design team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evolution of our menswear collections across key product areas including shirting, tailoring, outerwear, and smart casualwear.
As a key member of the design team, you will be involved in the full product lifecycle—from research and concept development to final product execution—ensuring collections reflect both the brand’s heritage and modern sensibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop seasonal menswear collections across formalwear, shirting, tailoring, outerwear, and smart casualwear, in collaboration with the Head of Design.
- Conduct market and trend research to inform range planning, including fabric, trim, colour, and silhouette inspiration.
- Perform regular competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and maintain commercial relevance.
- Create detailed CADs and technical design packs for internal teams and external suppliers.
- Maintain and update visual range plans for internal use and 3rd party presentations.
- Participate in fit sessions and work closely with the technical team to refine product fit and construction.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate product development.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in formal or smart menswear design, with a strong commercial and creative portfolio.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator and Photoshop), along with strong CAD skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—both written and verbal.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative in approach.
