Hayward Hawk is delighted to be working exclusively with a scaling manufacturing business to recruit a CFO to join their team. We are seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a high-growth, private equity-backed manufacturing business. This strategic hire will play a key role in driving the company’s financial strategy, helping expand its operations globally, refining its financial systems, and optimising business performance ensuring the company has the financial insight and operational efficiency needed to fuel its continued expansion.

As the CFO, you will work closely with the CEO, senior leadership team, and the private equity investors to optimise capital structure, raise finance, and oversee finance system implementation. You will lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning, ensuring that the company maintains strong financial health while pursuing aggressive growth objectives.

The Role

  • Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and execute the financial strategy that supports the company's growth objectives and business priorities.
  • Work closely with private equity investors, providing regular and transparent financial updates, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and investor interests.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of finance systems and processes that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and visibility into financial performance.
  • Ensure seamless integration with existing operations.
  • Lead the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) to provide key financial insights, reporting, and analytics to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Direct the overall financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow management, and P&L responsibility.
  • Ensure financial discipline across the business.
  • Lead efforts in raising finance and structuring capital, including debt and equity, working closely with private equity firms and other financial institutions.
  • Develop and monitor financial KPIs, and work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost management, and profitability enhancement.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team capable of supporting the company’s expansion plans.
  • Ensure that financial practices are compliant with all regulatory requirements, and that robust internal controls are in place.

The Person

  • Extensive Experience in Manufacturing Sector - A deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, including its operational challenges and opportunities for financial optimisation and scaling.
  • Proven track record of working with private equity-backed businesses, including experience in reporting to private equity investors, raising capital, and structuring deals.
  • Experience with finance system implementation and integration, ideally in a growing manufacturing or industrial business.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A forward-thinking, strategic mindset with the ability to guide the business through complex financial and operational challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change, influence at all levels, and work closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, financial modelling, risk management, and capital allocation.
