As a Building Services Engineer you will:

  • Take responsibility for early-stage design and feasibility work
  • Assist with developing detailed briefs in conjunction with the client & colleagues
  • Carry out site surveys (including compliance assessments)
  • Carry out stock condition assessments (recording information both digitally & manually)
  • Prepare reports, including lifecycle & cost data as well as prepare detailed specifications
  • Carry out detailed design work and assist colleagues with preparing tender information
  • Respond to Contractors RFIs and carry out compliance inspections of work undertaken
  • Liaise with Clients, Contractors & internal and external consultants

Experience and Skills:

  • Ideally you will have 3 -5 years post qualification experience within a commercial Building Services environment
  • Bachelor's degree (BEng) or Master's (MEng) in Building Services Engineering/Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Have strong communication skills and have proven experience of establishing and developing good working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Self-motivated, ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Software experience: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office. Experience of NBS Create and Autodesk Revit is advantageous but not essential. Full training will be provided as necessary.
  • Excellent understanding of current regulations, CIBSE guides and their implication for design/maintenance of buildings including health sector standards
