Are you a passionate and experienced public health nurse looking to support families and young children in the community? We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Health Visitor to join our dynamic team, delivering the Healthy Child Programme and promoting health and wellbeing from pregnancy through to school age.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Healthy Child Programme through health and developmental reviews, screening, immunisations, and health promotion
- Support parents and carers with advice on infant feeding, sleep, weaning, mental health, and child development
- Assess family health needs and refer to appropriate services where necessary
- Safeguard and protect children through early identification of risk and collaborative multi-agency working
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to child protection case conferences and core groups
- Work autonomously while contributing to a supportive and skilled team environment
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RN Child) with NMC registration
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN – Health Visitor) qualification
- Excellent communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
