Staffline is recruiting Semi-Skilled Operatives to work in Elm. You must have your own transport to get to and from the site.
The rate of pay is:
- Day Shift £12.50 per hour
- Overtime is available after working 38.5 hours and is paid at: Day Shift £15.63 per hour
As a Semi-Skilled Operative, you will be required to work 4 on 4 off with additional overtime offered but not expected. The shifts for this position are: Days, 6am to 5:30pm. Please note, that this is subject to change to cover and meet business requirements. This is an ongoing position with a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
As a Slicer, you will be responsible for operating slicing machines and preparing a variety of vegetables in accordance with customer requirements. You will also support the wider team with other preparation machinery. This role requires you to ensure both your own health and safety, as well as that of others. Key responsibilities include maintaining product quality, adhering to procedures, and proactively solving problems.
Please note, this role will require you to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours) and involve some heavy lifting (up to 20kg).
Our ideal Semi-Skilled Operative will be reliable, hardworking, and have a keen eye for detail to ensure product orders are accurate. You will adhere to quality, safety, and technical procedures, promote effective teamwork, and represent the company with professionalism. You must also be able to work on your own to fulfill the material requirement plan. The ideal candidate will have good mathematical skills, be able to communicate effectively in English and have a good level of written English to complete paperwork accurately. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
