Our client is a custom manufacturer of high-quality steel products for the construction and railway industry based within Peterborough. They are currently looking for an Estimator CAD Draughtsperson to join the sales team.
You will be skilled in the use of TurboCAD or AutoCAD and proficient in using Microsoft Office. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will take responsibility for researching and producing quotes, correctly storing files, and liaising with clients when required.
Duties of the Estimator:- Producing accurate quotes.
- Responding to emails and checking the status of customer orders.
- Building client relationships.
- Logging enquiries, tracking status of and understanding if a job is workable.
- Producing technical drawings as and when required.
- Building a database and contacting sub-contractors as and when required.
- Understanding cost and time scales.
- Accurately storing sales files in the correct format using an online filing system.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to problem-solve and be proactive.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an estimator or coster.
- 2D/3D computer software experience.
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum
