Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the effective delivery of maintenance and response works across a high-profile Defence estate. You will ensure compliance with statutory regulations, MoD requirements, and Health & Safety standards, while driving operational efficiency, quality, and value for money.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the supply chain to ensure qualified operatives are assigned appropriately.
  • Reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with Asbestos and Legionella management plans.
  • Overseeing project management under CDM regulations, from inception to completion, ensuring financial and commercial accountability.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders, working closely with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and end users to support estate operations.
  • Managing additional work projects, assisting in resolving complaints, and ensuring that all maintenance and response tasks are properly recorded and tracked.
  • Leading a team, providing supervision, coaching, and performance monitoring to ensure service levels are met.
  • Contributing to forward maintenance planning and ensuring efficient operations to maintain a profitable business.

A strong safety culture is essential, ensuring compliance with JSP requirements and fostering a collaborative working environment.

What You'll Bring:

The ideal candidate will have a Level 4 Facilities Management Qualification or equivalent technical experience, with expertise in planned and response maintenance. A willingness to take on additional responsibilities such as Confined Space and Working at Height Authorised Person is required. A HNC qualification or equivalent is essential to be considered for this role. Professional memberships and NEBOSH or SMSTS certifications are desirable.
