Concept Engineering Services is a leading provider of ground investigation services, seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our growing team in either our London or Coventry site. We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Role Overview
Your duties will be mainly related to the management of site investigation projects from inception to completion, with Concept’s sites being located mainly in London and the South East of England. Your key tasks are listed below and you will be undertaking these activities and mentoring and training junior staff members in these activities:
- Management of Projects.
- Development/Approval of project specific RAMs and Programmes of Works including financial and cost programmes.
- Fieldwork supervision and management including the management and ordering of project related supplies, plant and equipment to complete the works.
- Soil and rock logging to current standards.
- Day-to-day responsibility for planning, supervision and programming of projects.
- Management of subcontractors and specialist service providers required to deliver specified Scopes of works.
- Measurement of progress to programme and project cost control.
- Compilation and issue of Applications for Payment.
- Compilation and production of project deliverable data and reports.
- Liaising with Clients and sub-contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with the business management systems.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering / Earth Sciences or relevant subject.
- Or potentially a Masters in Environmental / Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology.
- Preferred completion of health and safety training schemes such as CSCS (Manager level), SMSTS, CDM 2015 Regulations etc.
- Preferred PTS certified, or willingness to become PTS certified.
What we are digging for:
- At least 5 years of previous relevant industry experience.
- Confident and knowledgeable of various site investigation techniques.
- Excellent awareness of ground investigation specifications, procedures, techniques, British Standards, Eurocode 7 and codes of practice, ICE and NCE contracts and the effective administration of them.
- Awareness of data presentation using borehole logging software packages and report compilation.
