We are seeking an experienced Security Cleared (SC) Lead Test Equipment Engineer to develop advanced test solutions for key defence and aerospace projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology supporting critical national defence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver technical solutions within defined work packages.
- Capture and analyse stakeholder needs to drive optimal engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure architectural alignment.
- Ensure best practices in test equipment design and application.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, escalating risks where necessary.
- Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development to team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in leading technical solution development within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong expertise in capturing and analysing stakeholder needs.
- Full design life cycle experience in an engineering environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience working with internal and external partners, including suppliers and customers.
- Ability to uphold engineering best practices and integrate industry innovations.
- Track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers.
- Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to drive solutions to completion.
Due to the nature of the role, this is for sole British passport holders so no dual nationalities. You must also have been a UK resident for a minimum of 5 years. The position is based onsite in Edinburgh, inside IR35 and will start ASAP.
