An excellent opportunity has arisen with NI's leading retail & hospitality group, for an experienced Commercial Accountant on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a key role within the group's finance function and key relationships include the CFO and Financial Controller.
Purpose: Responsible for the preparation of management accounts, assisting with the operation of the head office finance function, development of systems and implementation/control of procedures designed to realise improvement of KPI's.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of year end accounts and preparation for audit
- Systems improvement and development
- Review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of weekly KPI reporting
- Analytical review and analysis of reports
- Assist with ERP system upgrades
- Further development with integration of Group systems to the General Ledger
- Identifying areas of continuous improvement within processes and procedures
- Ad hoc reporting and any other duties relevant to the post
Qualifications:
- Professionally qualified with some of the recognised accounting bodies e.g., ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with more than 3 years relevant accountancy experience
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong IT skills, with experience working with integrated ERP systems
- Team player
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and conscientious
- An adaptable professional
