At Eni, we are looking for a Principal Flow Assurance Engineer within Eni Progetti in Basingstoke, UK. You will be responsible for supporting Eni's worldwide projects providing technical leadership within the Flow Assurance discipline. You will be part of the Eni project engineering group based in Basingstoke (UK) and support the Flow Assurance activities in the different phases of the project, from feasibility to Basic/FEED and along the execution phase for the several new upcoming or ongoing initiatives within Eni group.
EniProgetti is wholly owned by Eni, the global energy company. EniProgetti performs a key role developing projects and providing expert engineering support to Eni businesses worldwide. The company has an integrated operation office in the UK in Basingstoke. EniProgetti is currently helping to lead Eni in the energy transition from traditional business areas with decarbonised solutions such as CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) to innovative projects such as renewables, hydrogen, etc.

EniProgetti UK operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
As a member of the engineering department at Eni Progetti you will be responsible for:
- Preparing all the technical documentation related to Flow Assurance activities during the different phases of the Project, such as Conceptual Study, FEED, Tender and Contract package preparation, detailed engineering, and Operations.
- Following up Supplier Call for Tender & Selection (qualifications, clarifications, recommendations, etc.) when applicable for Flow Assurance discipline.
- Reviewing and approving FEED, Tender and Detailed Engineering performed by Contractors when applicable for Flow Assurance discipline.
- Being responsible for the flow assurance activities within the Subsea Systems department.
- Teamwork and collaboration with other colleagues in the Subsea Systems department, and especially within the Flow Assurance discipline.
- Liaising with other disciplines during Project execution phase.
- Awareness of International Standards & Codes.
- Correct application of Company internal standards and HSEQ policies.
This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Flow Assurance Engineer throughout the various phases of project development (from concept development to execution) and handover to operations.
- Graduate-level knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
- Ability to identify, define, and analyse complex multiphase hydrocarbon transportation schemes.
- Proficient usage of the following software: OLGA, PVTSim, Multiflash, Pipenet, Pipesim, Hysys, Unisim.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Matlab, C++, Python.
- Experience with Technical Audit and Design & Safety Reviews, HAZOP, HAZID's, Risk Assessment.
- Ability to effectively interface and communicate with other staff, outside flow assurance specialists, shareholders, contractors, and management.
- Ability to communicate well, laterally, and vertically within the organization.
- Full understanding of importance in planning and executing projects.
- Ability to identify the need for and manage the integration of HSE and technical risk processes into engineering and project solutions.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with other disciplines due to multidisciplinary approach to Projects.
- Ability to handle highly complex and diverse assignments while applying a high level of independent judgment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills. Task prioritisation interpersonal skills and excellent engineering judgement.
Qualifications:
- MS BS Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Energy Engineering, or any other related engineering discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in Flow Assurance in all project phases (feasibility study, FEED, detailed engineering, and Operations).
