The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Global Financial Controller (GFC) to lead financial operations at a Β£50M international design and manufacturing business . With a strong growth trajectory and a planned private equity-backed exit within three years , the company is scaling rapidly across the UK, US, and Australia . This role is critical in ensuring financial compliance, operational efficiency, and a scalable financial structure to support continued expansion. As Global Financial Controller , you will oversee statutory reporting, audit, cash flow, and internal controls , ensuring the business is structured for future investment and a high-value exit.
The Role β Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Compliance
β Lead month-end close & financial consolidation across multiple jurisdictions.
β Oversee statutory accounts preparation and ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and US/AUS regulations .
β Strengthen internal financial controls & risk management policies to support the companyβs growth.
Audit & Regulatory Compliance
β Act as the primary liaison for external auditors across the UK, US, and Australia.
β Ensure audit readiness & financial due diligence in preparation for the upcoming exit.
β Drive financial process improvements , ensuring efficient and scalable reporting.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
β Monitor and manage multi-currency cash flow , ensuring financial stability & FX risk management .
β Optimize treasury processes , including banking relationships, debt financing, and capital allocation .
β Support financial structuring & due diligence to ensure Kingsway is positioned for a successful exit.
Leadership & Team Development
β Oversee the finance team across UK, US, and Australia , ensuring consistency in reporting & compliance.
β Lead systems & process upgrades to drive efficiency and improve financial governance.
β Foster a high-performance finance function , setting KPIs for reporting, controls, and risk management .
What Weβre Looking For
β ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with a strong background in statutory financial reporting & compliance .
β Experience as a Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Finance Director in an international, mid-sized business (Β£30MβΒ£100M+).
β Proven expertise in IFRS reporting, audit, and financial controls.
β Strong in cash flow, treasury, and FX risk management.
β Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial sectors (preferred but not essential).
