The Innovation Specialist will be a core part of the broader "Reinvent" initiative, which aims to support the development and implementation of the Firm's Reinvent strategy. The role-holder will cultivate a culture of innovation by equipping employees with methodologies, tools, and crucially, the confidence to adopt a client-centric approach. They will encourage using creative problem-solving techniques, enabling collaboration with our colleagues and clients to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance the client experience. Additionally, the role will involve assisting with specific projects led by the Practice Innovation team, a globally diverse group of strategic and empathetic thinkers committed to improving the client experience through creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
- Use a variety of process improvement and human-centered design methods to design and implement solutions including ideation workshops, user interviews, journey mapping, process mapping, and rapid prototyping.
- Develop and champion key design deliverables, including user journeys, service blueprints, process flows, wireframes, business model canvasses, and best practice/implementation playbooks.
- Combine qualitative and quantitative data to tell compelling narratives and shape solutions.
- Collaborate with team members from a variety of legal and business professional backgrounds.
- Track and report on project deliverables and manage governance check-ins.
- Frame the story of the design outcome both verbally and visually to key stakeholders across the Firm's senior leadership.
- Share key research and lessons learned from projects to enable the Firm to leverage key insights more broadly.
Skills and Experience:
- Some experience of innovation in a law firm or consulting setting is ideal.
- Experience working in service design, product design, user experience, or similar, and have had some exposure to rapid prototyping methods and tools like Adobe Creative Suite; Alternatively, experience in broad process improvement and project management experience or direct legal practice experience with an interest in and experience of doing things differently.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including exceptional listening capabilities, deep curiosity, and strong writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills across teams, able to engage stakeholders, manage differences and build consensus.
