The predicted salary is between 16357 - 16552 £ per year.

The successful applicant will have experience in caring for adults and/or older people preferably within a day service, community-based outreach or residential setting, and should be familiar with all aspects of personal care. You will be required, and must be able, to undertake moving and assisting tasks for people who use our services.

You will require to be flexible, working within both building settings and out in the community as required and be willing to undertake delegated tasks as part of a care staff team. You must also be committed to promoting the independence, rights, choices and individuality of people who use services and as a keyworker, be prepared to develop care planning in partnership with individuals, their families and the wider multidisciplinary team.

As an employer, South Lanarkshire Council offer excellent conditions of service along with good training opportunities to enable you to achieve a qualification in care. Ideally the successful candidate will hold an SVQ in Social Care at a minimum of Level 2 or an HNC in Social Care. Those without a qualification must be willing to work towards gaining a qualification.
