This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience across a diverse business while working closely with senior stakeholders to drive financial excellence.
The role could suit a candidate who is newly qualified either within accountancy practice or industry and looking to take up their first management role.
The Role:
As Group Finance Manager, you will support the Group Financial Controller in managing the monthly financial processes and play a key role in financial reporting, cashflow management, and internal controls. You will also work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and external funders, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly financial reporting for the group.
- Lead the annual external audit process and the preparation of statutory accounts.
- Manage cashflow consolidation and forecasting, ensuring effective liquidity management.
- Provide modelling and commercial support to the business.
- Maintain a strong internal financial control framework across the group.
- Assist in the preparation of the group budget and oversee treasury management.
- Manage day-to-day transactional finance activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including Corporate Tax, VAT, and P11D/PSA requirements.
- Oversee insurance, rebate, and recharge financial management.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the Group Financial Controller as required.
Skills Experience:
- A fully qualified chartered accountant.
- A good understanding of financial reporting, audit, and tax compliance.
- Experience in cashflow management and forecasting would be useful
- Proven ability to implement and maintain internal financial controls.
- A confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with auditors, consultants, and senior management.
