Job Summary
The role is primarily to assist the Financial Controller and produce financial information for the management board in a timely and accurate manner. The role will include purchase and sales ledger management, preparation of monthly management accounts, cash flow planning, budget preparation and payroll, VAT and other financial duties associated within a small business.
Job Responsibilities
- Production of management accounts and supporting schedules
- Posting of journal and balance sheet reconciliation
- Production of weekly, monthly and quarterly sales information and Scorecard for management and other stakeholders
- Stock control and reporting of stock date issues on a weekly basis
- Payroll, VAT returns, Credit control, bank administration and commercial input to product pricing
- Weekly cost analysis to include fuel, wages
- Payroll and sage accounts for Retail business on a weekly basis
Essential Criteria:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not essential for candidates with relevant experience
- 12 months relevant experience in a busy finance role preferably in a food distribution environment
- Previous experience with accountancy software
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills
Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 8.00 am - 4.00 pm & Friday 7.00 am - 3.00 pm
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 (DOE)
