An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) Manager to join a respected Facilities Management service provider. This is a key role where you’ll lead SHEQ efforts across multiple sites in the North West, ensuring best-in-class standards are met and maintained.
As SHEQ Manager, you’ll work closely with the SHEQ Director, senior leadership, and project teams, offering guidance and support in the implementation and ongoing management of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 systems. You will play a vital part in embedding a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain robust SHEQ management systems to ensure full legal and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the SHEQ strategy for the region and tailor action plans to suit individual project requirements.
- Provide technical support and direction to project teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners.
- Conduct and oversee internal audits, site inspections, and Quality Assurance processes.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards across all operations.
- Act as the main point of contact for external regulatory bodies including the HSE and Environment Agency.
- Carry out thorough risk assessments and review health and safety documentation from subcontractors.
- Produce detailed reports and updates for senior management, highlighting performance, risks, and improvements.
- Ensure RIDDOR incidents are reported in accordance with legal requirements.
- Undertake regular site visits to promote SHEQ best practices and observe operational activities.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar SHEQ role within the construction or FM sector.
- Strong working knowledge of UK health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Experience conducting both internal and external audits.
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent Level 5/6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Competitive salary up to £47,500
