An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Services Assistant - (CIPD Level 3 as a minimum) to work closely with the People Partners to ensure a welcoming, highly efficient and engaging experience from the first point of contact with the organisation. You will have a flair for customer service and play an essential role in advancing a more diverse, accessible and equitable environment through their inclusive practices.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the People Partners in the positive promotion of the organisation as an employer of choice, leveraging social media (ex. LinkedIn).
- Ensure that communication materials are appealing to our audiences internally and externally.
- Support the co-ordination of hiring processes, liaising with hiring managers to finalise and launch job adverts, job descriptions, person specifications and other recruitment information.
- Use the e-recruitment system to monitor progress of vacancies, proactively liaising with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a positive experience.
- Track cost of recruitment against budget and produce reports on key recruitment metrics (such as time to recruit, spend on recruitment campaigns and EDI information).
- Conduct all pre-employment checks including Right to Work in the UK, references and DBS checks, escalating any concerns to the People Partner.
- Ensure the accurate and timely issuing of offer letters, contracts, new starter information, and reference requests.
- Support and ensure effective onboarding for new hires, in a way that sets the tone for a positive employee experience.
- Support the administration for the UK Visa sponsorship system for new recruits and ensure expiry dates for all employees on time-limited visa are in the system.
- Undertake the monthly payroll checking process in liaison with the external payroll provider.

- CIPD Level 3 as a minimum.
