The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

37 Hours per week plus 2 hours contractual over time

Location – Hilton Depot, Bishopbriggs

Shift 1: Monday – Thursday 6.15am – 2.40pm and 6.15am – 2.05pm Friday with a half hour unpaid lunch break daily.

Shift 2: Monday – Thursday 09.45am – 6.40pm with a half hour unpaid lunch break daily and 6.15am – 11.35am on a Friday.

Applications are sought for a Workshop co-ordinator to lead a team of mechanics and manage the Fleets workshop, you will be based at our fleet workshops at the Hilton Depot in Bishopbriggs.

Your role will be:

  • Leading and managing the day-to-day operations, organisation and administration of the Fleets Workshops.
  • Provide leadership, vision and direction in the effective management of all aspects of the Council’s Fleet Workshop function.
  • The co-ordination and development of the Fleet Workshop team to provide excellent customer service, meeting all Service Level Agreements and performance targets.
  • Continually improve service delivery and the performance of the Fleet Workshop team, minimising operational risk through effective management of operational control systems, competent resources and operational planning across the team.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland

The following criteria applies to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential criteria.

Where the post you are applying for is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by East Dunbartonshire Council.

Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate’s first salary payment. In specific circumstances the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee’s wages following commencement of employment. Approval in such circumstances will be made by the HR &OD Manager. Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee’s final salary.

The criteria outlined above will apply to existing employees of East Dunbartonshire Council who apply for roles for which a PVG/Disclosure check is required.
