Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid 2 or 3 days a week, office based

Reed HR are working exclusively with a Belfast based public sector organisation as they seek to expand their HR team. This role will have two direct reports and will focus on recruitment/workforce planning, employee relations and absence.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Oversee and support external and internal workforce planning processes with stakeholders and HRConnect, ensuring up-to-date records.
  • Manage the agency worker framework and performance, securing timely cover for positions.
  • Handle People and Culture-related queries, upholding policy and procedure while providing high-quality service.
  • Conduct people operation-related meetings, addressing underperformance, conduct, and attendance issues.
  • Produce monthly reports for stakeholders on the progression of People & Culture processes, ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage internal audits and support the implementation of processes to achieve high-performance.
  • Engage in positive communication within the People & Culture team and across the organisation, including partnership with Trade Unions.
  • Lead and develop direct reports, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure continuous improvement in HR practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 5 qualification or above in a relevant field.
  • Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a workforce planning function within People & Culture.
  • Strong record-keeping skills for management reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, with skills in using pivot tables.
