Who we are: Advice NI is a registered charity founded in 1995, which exists to provide leadership and services to our broad and diverse membership. Our vision is of a society of confident, informed and active citizens who can access their rights and entitlements. We are committed to principles of inclusion, empowerment and justice. Our annual turnover is between £3-£4 Million per annum. We employ 78 staff.

What we do: Advice NI acts as a voice for the independent advice sector, supporting 69 members across Northern Ireland. We offer a range of award-winning training schemes, quality standards, ICT and social policy support campaigning to improve the lives of people in Northern Ireland. Advice NI also provides services direct to the public in the area of benefits, tax, immigration, money and debt and digital inclusion programmes.

What we are looking for: We wish to recruit new board members to enhance the skills and experience of our current board. As a board member, you will provide strategic leadership: ensure effective governance, oversee financial management as well as support organisational development. In particular, we are looking for people with a background/expertise in digital transformation, finance/risk, business development/fundraising, training or quality standards. We are also keen to receive applications from people with lived experience of poverty and those from a minority ethnic background. Applicants are welcome from the private, public, voluntary or community sector.
