About Us
Eat Ping is a fast-growing food startup revolutionising meal prep and delivery with a focus on nutritious Asian cuisine. We launched just 2 months ago and have already hit £15k MRR in month 1, and £18k MRR in month 2 with a strong pipeline projected to reach £40k MRR. We are a tech-driven food company creating a fully integrated production and customer experience platform.
Role Overview
We are looking for a mid-level Full-Stack Developer who loves shipping products fast and making a real-world impact. You'll be our first technical hire on the product team, working closely with the Founder and our operational leads to build systems that:
- Power our kitchen automation
- Enable real-time inventory and production tracking
- Launch customer-facing loyalty and retention programmes
This is a high-ownership role — you will build the tech that drives our operations and customer experience from the ground up. This is not a remote role, and we expect 3/5 days on site given the nature of our operations.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain customer-facing platforms (ordering portal, loyalty programme)
- Build internal tools for inventory management, production scheduling, and kitchen operations
- Ensure high data integrity across internal databases (inventory, customer orders, batch production)
- Collaborate with operations and culinary teams to digitise and automate processes
- Implement lightweight analytics tracking (customer behaviour, production metrics)
- Help lay the technical foundation for smart kitchen integrations (robotics data flow, IoT systems)
Tech Stack We Expect You To Use
- Front-end: React.js / Webflow
- Back-end: Node.js (Express)
- Database: MongoDB or PostgreSQL or Xano
- Hosting: AWS, Heroku, or similar
- Bonus: Familiarity with hardware integration (APIs, sensors, IoT) is a plus
Who You Are
- 3–5 years of full-stack development experience
- You have startup experience and/or experience working in small lean teams
- You ship fast — MVP mindset, iterate later
- You love working autonomously with full project ownership
- Comfortable jumping between customer-facing products and internal ops tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and "figure it out" attitude
- Passion for food and an understanding of consumer trends in the industry is a plus
- Adaptable, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
- Must have the right to work in the UK. We are not able to offer sponsorship at this time
Why Join Us?
- Be part of a high-growth startup redefining meal prep in the UK
- We have already raised, significantly de-risking any concerns that we will need capital to fund salary obligations
- Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where your ideas make a real impact
- Competitive salary with performance-based incentives
- Equity as part of the incentive plan
- Opportunity for career growth as we scale and movement into senior level tech roles (CTO level)
- Free Chinese Food
