The company are a leading manufacturer of products and vehicles for the security/defence industry. The business are seeking to recruit a field based technical representative for their operations. The main responsibility for the role is to provide technical field support across the UK and occasionally abroad.
Responsibilities
- Conduct expert technical investigations and provide specialist advice and support.
- Assist in the assessment and repair of attrition, negligence, misuse and damage cases.
- Analyse root causes of equipment failures and malfunctions.
- Prepare clear, detailed damage reports for internal and authority use.
- Capture and report on lessons identified to inform continuous improvement.
- Collect and relay feedback from users and maintainers to support product development.
- Provide informed recommendations for post design services (PDS) enhancements.
- Support maintenance activities as required.
Key skills for this role are as follows:
- Experience of maintenance of protected mobility platforms gained as REME Class 1 vehicle mechanic or equivalent.
- Maintainer knowledge of platforms MASTIFF, RIDGBACK, WOLFHOUND, FOXHOUND, JACKEL, COYOTE.
- Appropriate City and Guilds certification as vehicle mechanic or equivalent.
- Full UK driving license.
- Microsoft Office conversant.
- Able and willing to travel throughout the UK and overseas when required.
The shift is a Days position (8am - 4.35pm Monday to Thursday & 8am - 3.10pm Friday). Salary is up to 35k - 45k per annum. Benefits include half year bonus (discretionary), life cover and healthcare plan. The role is based in the Coventry area, so is commutable from Nuneaton, Bedworth, Kenilworth, Solihull, Birmingham, Rugby, Hinckley.
