Major Healthcare is currently working with one of Hampshire and Surrey's leading local family-run independent opticians. They pride themselves on an independent, professional, and ethical service combining specialist expertise, products, and value to deliver an innovative approach.
We are looking to speak with Optometrists who are interested in a full or part-time position and who are keen advocates of Myopia Management with an interest in contact lens specialities. The company's practices are long established, serving the communities of various towns in Hampshire and Surrey, where they have built a strong reputation for the quality of their professional expertise and service.
Key Advantages:- Basic salary of up to £70,000 + unique benefits
- 30 - 45 minute testing times with extra time for pre-screening, offering the ability to gain a greater understanding of patients' concerns, needs, and lifestyles
- Spacious rooms equipped with modern and hi-tech equipment, using the latest innovative designs in spectacle lens technology and frame design
- Equipment includes: OCT, Phoropter heads, Humphries VFA, Contact & non-contact tonometry, Slit Lamp, Trail frames sets, Dispensing iPads alongside a very efficient computerised management system
- A large variety of unique specialist services and clinics including: Dry eye services, Blephex treatment, Coloured overlay & Visual Stress, Diabetic screening, Glaucoma & Cataract monitoring, Sports eyewear and Low-Vision aids, Paediatrics eyecare, Hear care services and Specialist contact lenses including Ortho-K (Vision correction) contact lenses, Myopia MiYOSMART contact lenses and MiSight contact lenses
- The practice team are specialists in paediatric spectacle dispensing and have a particular interest in fitting contact lenses for children
- Working with a wide range of designer and fashionable glasses with the ability to handpick the best frames and lenses for customers without being restricted to any one supplier
- Two very spacious test rooms within a relaxed, high-end setting and a beautifully presented working environment
- The company holds the Gold standard in Investors In People, values their people, and offers opportunities for career development/courses/training and conferences
- Closed Sundays, Bank Holidays, offering alternate Saturdays and no late nights as the practice closes at 5:30pm
- Being part of a friendly, close-knit team of experienced optical professionals who have worked together for years and are all passionate about optometry
- Opening hours: Monday - Saturday (08:30am - 17:30pm)
- Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays + alternate Saturdays available
- Full or part-time position considered
- Eligibility to work in the UK and GOC Registered
- Basic salary of up to £70,000
