Vantage Automation Systems are responsible for the Design, Development & Delivery of the BMS/Automation Package within all VDC builds across the entire EMEA portfolio. We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Delivery Engineer to support the deployment, integration, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and SCADA systems within the critical infrastructure of data centres. This role will focus on ensuring seamless integration of automation solutions, with expertise in Rockwell PLCs, Ignition SCADA, and electrical and instrumentation configuration.

Essential Job Functions & Duties
  • Support the deployment and integration of BAS and SCADA systems into data centre environments.
  • Configure and program Rockwell PLCs and Ignition SCADA to meet operational and monitoring requirements.
  • Perform electrical and instrumentation setup, testing, and calibration to ensure accurate system functionality.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define and document system requirements, workflows, and deliverables.
  • Conduct on-site commissioning, including functional testing, troubleshooting, and system validation.
  • Integrate BAS and SCADA systems with third-party devices and infrastructure using industry-standard protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, OPC, and Ethernet/IP.
  • Provide technical support to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance during deployment and commissioning phases.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, test procedures, and commissioning reports.
  • Identify and resolve issues during integration and commissioning to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data centre automation.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Proven experience in deploying and commissioning BAS and SCADA systems in critical environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Rockwell PLCs (e.g., Studio 5000, ControlLogix) and Ignition SCADA platforms.
  • Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including wiring, calibration, and testing.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and network configuration.
  • Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting complex automation systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Travel is expected to be around 75% during commissioning of DC projects.
