Our client is a leading specialist tour operator who specializes in arranging tailormade educational, special interest, and performance tours for groups throughout Europe. Due to continued growth and development, they are now recruiting for a Travel Business Operations Director to help take the company to its next level. This is a pivotal role within the business, working closely with the Managing Directors to manage the company's processes and staff, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure effective communication and coordination across all teams, producing customized tours from a worldwide inbound market and assisting in the development of the business in accordance with the business plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage tours, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
  • Facilitate coordination between departments to ensure the best service to our clients.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, streamline workflows, and enhance the efficiency of the company's operations.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the tours, working with the team to ensure the achievement of the costed profit margins for all tours and aim to overachieve whenever possible.
  • Support initiatives that improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, ensuring that the company is a great place to work.

Experience Required:

  • Significant experience in a senior travel management role within inbound travel and groups.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing successful business initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance monitoring, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
