A prestigious management consultancy is seeking an accomplished procurement professional to join their growing team, entering at Principal Consultant level and managing a number of key projects across their blue-chip clientele. The successful consultant will be entering a leadership role, tasked with growing a successful team in line with the company brand. This role will be suited to a procurement professional with extensive experience across the FM category (ideally with some public sector exposure) with the confidence and ability to manage large outsourced spends and offer best-in-class advice.

Principal Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Carry out strategic sourcing, developing and delivering strategies for which companies may capitalise on potential opportunities for increased efficiency, profits and growth.
  • Understand needs of stakeholders and customers whilst acting in line with the policies and procedures that make brands valuable.
  • Manage supplier relationships as well as contracts currently in place and negotiate contracts in place in the future.
  • Control the strategy of global indirect procurement functions, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Public sector procurement expertise, with knowledge of the new procurement act.
  • Proven track record of managing large spends across the FM category generating consistent savings whilst providing quality and effectiveness of service.
  • Previous experience of working in an international environment.
  • History of developing strategies to implement new processes and services.
  • Degree level 2.1 or equivalent and/or procurement-related qualification.
