6 to 8 sessions weekly. Our team at Wickham Market Medical Centre is looking for a new GP partner to replace a partner who is retiring at the end of this year. We are a high-performing PMS dispensing practice situated in a lovely semi-rural area of coastal Suffolk. We care for 9,900 patients, with our guiding vision being the desire to provide them with access to the type of general practice we would want for ourselves, our families and our friends.
Our core clinical team consists of four GP partners (including our retiring colleague), one salaried GP, two nurse practitioners, a paramedic, two practice nurses, two nursing associates and three HCAs. Via our PCN, we are also supported by another paramedic, first contact physiotherapists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacists. Social prescribers, mental health nurses and patient care coordinators provide further support. We have excellent support from our practice manager and the administrative team, hence the practice’s ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating for leadership (‘Good’ overall).
For 20 years, we have held an Investors in People bronze award. We would be happy to support doctors who want to pursue further clinical or non-clinical interests. We are about to become a training practice and we will welcome our first GP trainee later this year. As a member of the Suffolk GP Federation, we have access to the full range of GP support services they provide, including the Suffolk First5 scheme for doctors new to general practice.
To arrange an informal practice visit or to talk with one of the current partners, please contact our Business Manager, Mrs Jane Wallace by clicking the Apply button or telephone us on 01728 747101. We look forward to hearing from you!
