We are working with a well-established and fast-growing Principal Contractor who deliver high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across London, particularly in the commercial, finance, and corporate sectors. With a turnover projected to exceed GBP60m and a strong in-house team of trades and construction professionals, they have built a reputation for delivering complex, high-spec projects on time and to the highest standards.
This is an exciting time to join the business, with multiple new projects due to start and several more in the pipeline. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a key fit-out project in Canary Wharf.
The Role
Senior Project Manager: You will take full ownership of a two-and-a-half-floor CAT B fit-out in a finance-sector office building. This will include full management of all subcontract packages, client liaison, programme management, health & safety, and driving quality across every aspect of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver fit-out projects from pre-start through to handover
- Oversee subcontractors, internal site teams, and key stakeholders
- Chair progress, coordination and client meetings
- Ensure HSQE standards are fully implemented and maintained
- Drive programme, monitor progress, and proactively manage risks
- Maintain high site standards and ensure quality delivery at every stage
- Work closely with commercial and design teams to ensure full alignment
- Maintain accurate site documentation, records and reports
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements for the Senior Project Manager:
- Extensive experience delivering CAT A / CAT B commercial fit-outs
- Strong track record working with main contractors or specialist fit-out firms
- Excellent knowledge of H&S, CDM, quality standards, and programme management
- Strong leadership, communication and client-facing skills
- SMSTS & CSCS (Manager) essential
- Experience using Procore or similar platforms desirable
- Detail-focused with a passion for delivering excellence
