This leading travel group is undergoing a commercial transformation, with a renewed focus on pricing, forecasting and customer insights. As part of this shift, they’re investing in a newly created analytics function to drive smarter pricing and commercial decision-making across their product portfolio.

You’ll report directly into the Head of Finance and work closely with the Revenue & Capacity Management team. While it’s a standalone pricing role, you’ll be supported by adjacent teams like FP&A and finance, and have strong exposure to stakeholders across sales, product and operations.

This is a new role focused on owning pricing analytics across the business — consolidating processes currently handled by separate product teams and creating a centralised, insight-led pricing function. You’ll drive both day-to-day pricing activity and contribute to strategic projects such as market analysis, promotions and pricing optimisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day pricing analytics across multiple business units.
  • Build pricing models and develop scalable pricing frameworks.
  • Analyse price elasticity and optimise pricing strategies across channels.
  • Deliver competitor and market analysis to support product positioning.
  • Support forecasting efforts alongside the FP&A team (using Anaplan).
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand current pricing models and pain points.
  • Identify drop-offs, opportunities and areas of improvement across the booking funnel.
  • Contribute to promotional pricing strategy and performance evaluation.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in pricing analytics or a similar commercial analytics role.
  • Strong Excel skills are essential; Power BI is a plus.
  • Experience using SQL, R, Python, or similar tools for data manipulation is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and influence non-technical stakeholders.
  • Confident working independently and managing high-impact pricing decisions.
  • Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
The Benefits
  • Competitive salary up to £70,000.
  • Hybrid working model – 9 onsite days/month in Burton-on-Trent.
  • High-visibility role with direct access to senior leadership.
  • Opportunity to shape the pricing function from the ground up.
  • Involvement in both strategic and tactical commercial projects.
Interview Process
  • First Stage: 30-minute introductory with the Head of Finance to explore your background and motivations.
  • Second Stage: Onsite practical pricing task using Excel and example data.
  • Final stage presentation and stakeholder Q&A session.
