Business Developer / Sales Development Representative
Senior Business Development Manager for a multi-site, global Logistics company who are building a sales super team. Described as the fastest growing Logistics company in the UK.
Location: Remote – with a view to opening an office (the company already have multiple offices).
Requirements:
- Business Development Manager MUST have sold Air, Road & Sea Freight for a Freight Forwarder.
- Air Freight & Sea Freight sales experience essential.
- Ability to bring business, clients, contacts will be a distinct advantage.
Package:
£50K – £60K + 10% commission for lifetime of account, Car allowance, Private Health Care, 33 days holiday, Employee benefits.
This role offers a completely flexible working arrangement. The aim is completely to develop business and make money, so whatever suits. Bristol / South West location is important.
The Role:
- Achieve new business sales targets by developing relationships with new (and lapsed) customers.
- Generate own leads and opportunities and follow up on any leads and referrals.
- Proactively own the sales process from lead generation to closing the sale.
- Arrange own meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
- Negotiate the terms of a sale (price, costs, delivery and specifications) with buyers and close the sale.
- Effectively interact with the Operations team to fully brief them on new sales/new customers.
- Gather and maintain detailed market and target customer information including a clear understanding of customers\’ business and requirements.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Company\’s products, services and pricing structures.
Essential Requirements:
- Air Freight sales Experience ESSENTIAL.
- Sea Freight sales Experience ESSENTIAL.
- Proven track record in external freight sales – ESSENTIAL.
