The Company We are delighted to be working with an expanding haulage business, who are seeking to add somebody to a night shift.They are the market leaders in their field and have ambitions to grow into several new markets. The Role Transport Planner – Nights This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Transport Planner to join a great team leading the nights operation on their main contracts. If you enjoy the fast-paced demanding environment of the transport office, and excel in providing outstanding communication and analysis, then this could be the role for you. Other Responsibilities include: Network optimisation of existing and potential contracts. dentifying projects in the transport operation and carrying out these projects to a high standard. Ultimately improving the efficiency and quality of the operation in all areas. Planning for whole of the UK network. Helping to win and bring on board new contracts as a vital contact for the business development team. Re-adjusting routes and communicating with all parties. Been a secondary point of contact for clients and drivers in the transport office. Producing tachograph analysis. Producing reports on transport efficiencies for the Directors. Working Hours Monday to Friday 19:00 – 06:00 The Skills Required The ideal candidate will have performed already in a Transport Planner role before for another logistics operation. They will also have skills and experiences clearly demonstrated in their CV in the following: Minimum of 2 years Transport Office experience Able and willing to work permanent nights Great with administration, systems and computer work Excellent customer service skills Excellent UK geographical transport knowledge Commutable daily to Grantham A significant understanding of road logistics Excellent MS Excel skills Very computer literate.
