Working with a variety of officers and managers across Housing Services, you will support, plan and lead the delivery of exciting improvement plans and projects benefiting Council tenants and council property. The role will have a hybrid approach to working location. Initially the greater focus will be based at home or in the office, dependent on your choice. When projects scale and approach key delivery timelines, you will be required to focus more time to the office and site as required.
Your projects will have a mix of back office and customer focused delivery with a need to coordinate closely with our Maintenance and Contracts department on housing improvement schemes. It is essential that the Project Officer has excellent communication, planning and document management skills. The ability to research and problem solve challenges that may arise will be a clear advantage, along with a competence to work with a broad stakeholder mix including the awareness of different communication styles and timings required.
Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends when required. DBS clearance is required for this role. This post is offered on a fixed term basis to 4 April 2027. This is a hybrid working role (a minimum of 1 day per week working in the office, more as and when required).
