The Senior Pre-Sales Consultant Role
As we continue our mission to be the market-leading underwriting software platform for agile insurers, we are seeking a Pre-Sales Senior Consultant to drive our expansion in the US market. This senior role is critical in supporting our growing US customer base and meeting the increasing demand for expert guidance in underwriting technology.

The Pre-Sales Senior Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by partnering with prospective customers, understanding their challenges, and demonstrating how Send’s platform delivers measurable impact. With deep domain expertise in insurance technology, you will take a consultative approach to problem-solving—translating complex technical capabilities into compelling business value.

In this high-visibility role, you’ll lead product demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements, and strategic conversations with senior stakeholders. You’ll also collaborate closely with sales, product, and delivery teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial engagement to solution adoption.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant

  • Partner with our US sales teams to understand customer challenges and strategic objectives, identifying how Send’s platform can best support them.
  • Lead the preparation and execution of critical product demonstrations and POCs to customers, working with our sales team and pre-sales engineers to tailor the solution to best showcase our product fit and value.
  • Provide market and product expertise throughout the sales cycle, guiding customers through complex buying decisions and ensuring a seamless evaluation process.
  • Lead RFP and proposal written responses, effectively articulating how Send’s functionality and feature set will be applied and configured to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to help develop compelling business cases, ROI models, and competitive positioning strategies.
  • Extract insights from customer engagements to refine sales messaging and enhance go-to-market strategies.
  • Shape the backlog and design of our Pre-sales R&D to continuously enhance demo environments to deliver a seamless and impactful customer experience.
  • Serve as the voice of the US customer, providing critical market feedback to core product and technology teams to influence roadmap direction and prioritisation.
  • Support the refinement of sales collateral, case studies, and technical documentation to strengthen customer understanding and engagement.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends, competitor developments, and evolving customer needs within the North American insurance landscape.

The Skills and Experience Needed for the Senior Pre-Sales Consultant Role

  • Deep Industry Knowledge – Extensive understanding of the US P&C insurance and underwriting ecosystem, with hands-on experience in Non-Admitted E&S, program or reinsurance markets.
  • Consultative Solutioning – Proven success in a Senior Pre-Sales or solution Consulting role within a high-growth SaaS or tier 1 consulting firm. Be a problem solver by nature, uncovering customer challenges, shaping tailored solutions, and clearly articulating business value to senior stakeholders.
  • Self-starter – Be comfortable managing your own workload, identifying both opportunities and risks and developing an approach to dealing with them.
  • Executive-Level Engagement – Skilled in presenting to and influencing C-suite executives, Heads of Underwriting, IT leaders, and Innovation teams in enterprise insurance organizations.
  • Sales & Commercial Insight – Experience collaborating closely with sales teams to support complex deal cycles, including RFP responses, business case development, and competitive positioning in the US market.
  • Technical Acumen – Strong ability to communicate complex core enterprise technology concepts, including APIs, integrations, and data workflows, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership – Ability to work seamlessly with sales, product, delivery, and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive and effective customer engagement process.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or Insurtech company, particularly within the North American insurance market.
  • Familiarity with underwriting workbenches, policy administration systems (PAS), or claims technology.

Senior Pre-Sales Consultant Interview Process
Our recruitment process for Senior Pre-Sales Consultant role is a minimum of four stages:

Stage 1 – Intro call with our in-house recruiter, Liam (30 minutes) – This will cover your background, motivations and communication, along with a chance to get to know Send and the role better.
Stage 2 – Interview with Tom Rhoades, Pre-sales Senior Manager (45 minutes)
Stage 3 – Interview with Lloyd Peters, Head of Revenue UK & EMEA and Brad Tabor, Head of Revenue US (45 minutes)
Stage 4 – Interview with Andy Moss, CEO and Co-Founder (30 minutes)
